職務内容:
- Managing the budgeting process (annual and periodic) for select product lines, including communicating targets, setting goals with business leaders, preparing the plans at an account level, and coordinating with other product lines and partners in other areas of the business.
- Playing a leadership role in the controllership of these businesses, including reviewing and auditing the input of key data into accounting systems, reviewing the draft income statement and balance sheet for accuracy, and coordinating with business members and accounting staff to resolve any identified variances.
- Guiding the direction of the product lines, including developing vendor scorecards and selection strategies, managing the company`s cost reduction efforts, monitoring inventory health, and preparing for and running weekly business reviews of all key metrics.
- Building business plans for new initiatives and disruptive ideas to further the company`s overall growth as well as the growth of their businesses.
- Controlling headcount for the overall retail organization, including periodic reviews of headcount efficiency.
- Performing reviews of competitor businesses and financials.
必要な資格・スキル:
- A strong background (3-5 years) in finance, consulting, or a related highly-analytic field with a strong history of progressive career growth
- Intense customer focus
- Ability to think both analytically and strategically – to go beyond the numbers and think logically about underlying business issues
- Passion for detail, diving deep into data, and "getting it right"
- Flexibility, including the ability to prioritize in ambiguous situations to drive to the best overall result
- Good understanding of accounting and finance, including the Income Statement and Balance Sheet
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including bilingual fluency (English/Japanese)
- Strong computer skills (Excel power user, familiar with Word and Access)
- BA/BS required, MBA preferred
- Experience in working with large data sets or relational databases (including prior experience with Cognos, Essbase, and/or SQL) is highly useful but not required
